Amara and Jules

Our story

A coffee farm, a flat tyre, and seven years.

Amara was photographing a coffee farm outside Lipa when her car gave up on the road down. Jules, whose family owns the farm next door, stopped to help and stayed for lunch. The tyre took twenty minutes. Lunch took the rest of the afternoon.

Seven years, two cities, and one very old dog later, we are going back to the farm. This time we would like you there.

The day

Slow, outdoors, and barefoot by the end.

  1. Arrival

    Cold calamansi juice under the mango trees. Find your seat on the board by the gate.

  2. Ceremony

    In the clearing beside the old drying beds. Thirty minutes, then flower petals.

  3. Merienda and portraits

    Kakanin, cheese, and wine on the terrace while the light goes gold.

  4. Dinner under the lights

    Long tables, family style. Lechon, of course. Choose your plate when you reply.

  5. First dance, then all of us

    A live band until eleven, then a playlist until the generator says no.

  6. Bonfire and send-off

    Marshmallows, sparklers, and the last shuttle to town at midnight.

Park at the gate

Free parking in the field by the gate. Golf carts run up to the clearing. Shuttles from the two hotels in town leave at 1:45 PM and return until midnight.

We have held rooms at both for Friday and Saturday. Mention Amara and Jules when you book. Both are on the shuttle route.

Garden formal, in earth tones.

Linen, cotton, flowing things. It is outdoors, on grass, and warm until sunset. Flat shoes or block heels, please. A wrap for the evening.

Is it really outdoors?

Yes, all of it, with a covered terrace for dinner if it rains. February is dry in Lipa. Bring sunglasses for the ceremony.

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation says so, yes. If not, we have kept it small on purpose. Add the seat when you reply.

Are children welcome?

Very. There is a kids' table, a play tent, and a yaya on duty from 2:00 PM.

Where do I park?

The field by the gate, free. Golf carts will bring you up. Please do not drive up the farm road.

Can I take photos?

After the vows, please. During the ceremony we would love your eyes, not your screens. Tag #AmaraSaidJules.
